During a concert, Gino, the famous singing chicken, is kidnapped by Ray Mundo and taken to the highly secret Alamo Lab laboratories, where a scientist, Chief Colby, dematerializes him on the internet. After the chicken it will be the turn of all humanity to be dematerialized and Colby will thus be able to dominate the world: this is his crazy plan. Gino, however, reduced to a digital dust, escapes control by throwing himself into the web and Colby, with the help of his assistant Ray Mundo and refined technologies, begins to scour the web to find him. Thus begins the adventure of Gino the Chicken!

On the web Gino meets the its Web Raptors, ferocious lizards that feed on digital beings but our heroes escape the lizards thanks to the help of Gina, a delightful chick, and her friend Dolly, an athletic cloned sheep. While love strikes between Gino and Gina, from the real world a boy, Andrea, and Grandpa Ringo, have seen everything and are preparing to intervene: perhaps, with a chicken as an ally, they will be able to save the world from Colby's aims

At Alamo Lab, Chief Colby founds the CIA (Chicken Investigation Agency), a squadron of obtuse cloned agents capable of briefly dematerializing on the web. Their mission is to capture the chicken, at any cost: the bird is essential to continue Colby's experiments. Meanwhile, E-Jay, Andrea's friend and an expert hacker, infiltrates the Alamo Lab computers and steals the dematerialization formula which is subsequently perfected by Grandpa Ringo: now Andrea can also dematerialize and help the chicken. When Gino and the X-Animals are attacked by the CIA, Andrea throws herself into the web, where she takes the name CyberBoy, and scares away Colby's agents. The chicken has found a new friend...

In exchange for a load of strawberries, which she is very fond of, Ma' the Polypona teams up with Chief Colby. Ma sets out on the chicken's trail and ambushes him and the X-Animals with the help of the Chicken Roasters. But luckily the Little Creatures Pon-Pon, CyberBoy, the cyber-cow Lucy and Sumo, a powerful titanium elephant, arrive and put the Chicken Rosaters to flight after a hilarious battle. At Alamo Lab, Colby, enraged, blocks the sending of the strawberries to Ma' while Gino and the X-Animals continue their journey to Libertatia

Gino and his increasingly numerous friends are about to reach the island of Libertatia on a raft when they are blocked by Ma', who has transformed into a sea monster. Gino, however, discovers Ma's weak point and with a barrage of ironic comments on her totally out of her look, forces the vain polypona to retreat. While Chief Colby, furious, blocks the shipment of strawberries to the octopus, Gino & Co. finally land in Libertatia, where they meet Gronk, an enormous digitosaur with a kind heart... Meanwhile, in the real world, Grandpa Ringo has built a super-technological clock , Flashcom, very useful for Andrea's web immersions

In Libertatia, the X-Animals and Gino the Chicken build their home, the Teknofattoria, to the rhythm of the Song of the Rules, a series of ironic commandments useful for living in harmony. From Alamo Lab, Colby orders Ma to destroy that 'resistance' core and, shortly after, Pixel Bill and his gang of Pixeleros show up at the Technofactory, offering their help. After a series of strange accidents and a raging fire, Andrea-CyberBoy and Gino discover that Pixel Bill and his gang caused them and that the ferocious bandits are in the pay of Polipona. A furious battle breaks out and the intruders are put to flight. It's yet another setback for Colby and Polipona

Emile delivers a letter to Gino announcing that he has won the "coolest chicken on the web" competition. Behind the prize, a stay in the Mexican Paradise, lies yet another trap by Ma' and, while Gino is lying in a hammock, he is attacked by the terrible Web Raptors. To the rhythm of 'La Cucaracha', the chicken defends itself bravely but the Raptors prevail. From his monitor, Colby watches euphorically the capture of the chicken but has not reckoned with CyberBoy: the boy, aided by Grandpa Ringo and E-Jay, dematerialises in the web and snatches Gino from the clutches of the Raptors. At Alamo Lab, poor Colby witnesses the rescue of the chicken in dismay and is struck by a nervous breakdown...

Both in the real world and on the web, celebrations for his birthday are organised, without Andrea's knowledge. When the image of a dying Gino appears on the monitor of Dextop, the artificial intelligence invented by Ringo, Andrea launches himself into the web to help his friend but, surprise! The party explodes. Suddenly, however, dozens of CIA agents emerge from a gigantic cake and attack the X-Animals but are soon knocked out. The party was a great success but CyberBoy is sad, his parents have forgotten his birthday: but when he rematerializes in his house, surprise! Father Pietro and mother Giulia, little sister Malù and Gatto Mao, E-Jay and Grandpa Ringo celebrate it.

Pixel Bill and the Pixeleros have kidnapped Gina and Dolly and want to feed them to the terrible Feathered Serpent of Pixel's Desert. Warned by Dextop, Andrea launches into the web: riding two motorbikes Andrea and Gino race towards the desert and the boy's grandfather also joins them. Grandpa Ringo, who on the web goes by the nickname Okunden the Blonde, despite being blind due to an accident, can finally see his beloved grandson in the virtual world. The three put Pixel Bill and his gang to flight and Okuden lands with his chopper right on the head of the Feathered Serpent: the reptile turns out to be Ma 'the octopus who, once again, sees her plans fail miserably

Gino the Chicken receives a letter from the Bat Bar of the Wild Lands with the announcement that he has been nominated as a juror for the election of "Miss Universal Hen": elated, Gino leaves immediately but Gina, a little jealous, follows him at a distance. The three attractive chickens that Gino meets at the Bat Bar are actually vampire chicks brought from Transylvania by Ray Mundo and Chief Colby: Gino risks being vampirized, but the intervention of Andrea-CyberBoy and Gina turns the Colby's plans and everything turns out for the best. Poor Ray, in order to escape Colby's wrath, contemplates moving to Transylvania!
