Sezoni i gjashtë i "Dancing with the Stars" u transmetua për herë të parë më 17 mars 2008; shfaqja e parë me rezultat ishte një episod me eliminim të dyfishtë që u transmetua më 25 mars 2008. Shfaqja ndjekur të njëjtin format si sezonet e mëparshme, me 12 çifte. Më 6 maj 2008, DWTS pati një edicion special dy-orësh për të përkujtuar epizodin e tij të 100-të. Shkalla më e shpërndarë për këtë sezon ishte 29, e cila iu dha 9 herë udhëheqësve gjatë disa javëve. Kristi Yamaguchi dhe partneri i saj, Mark Ballas, fituan garën. Kristi dhe Mark bashkë u dhanë katër nga pesë shkallët perfekte të dhëna këtë sezon; ajo mori tre prej tyre për tre vallëzimet e finales, duke i dhënë asaj një notë të përsosur prej 90 nga 90. Këtu sezon, së bashku me sezonin e mëparshëm, sezoni 14 dhe sezoni 15 janë të vetmet pa një notë nën 15 ose pa një notë nën 5 të dhënë nga ndonjë gjykatës.
