Kryeqyteti Artur, i shoqëruar nga shërbëtori i tij, rekruton Knightët e Tavolinës Rrethore, duke përfshirë Sir Bedevere të Mençur, Sir Lancelot të Guximshëm, Sir Robinin Jo-Pak-Të-Guximshëm-Si-Sir-Lancelot dhe Sir Galahad të Pastër. Në rrugë, Arturi lufton me Kalin e Zi, i cili, megjithëse i janë prerë të gjitha këmbët, insiston se mund të luftojë ende.
